Former Fayette County resident K. Duane Denney, 96, of Redondo Beach, CA, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 10:40 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Denney was born May 27, 1923, at Plattsburgh, in Clark County, Ohio to Clark Elmer and Edith Marie Yeoman Denney. He was a graduate of Washington High School and was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy. He moved to California in1948.
Before his retirement, he was the vice president of finance for Automation Industries, Inc., a producer of industrial products and worldwide supplier of technical services.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patricia Nisley on June 18, 2016, and a brother, Corwin D. Denney in 1999.
Mr. Denney is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Ed Cylwik and Susan and Dan Gonzales, all of Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Burial will take place in the Washington Cemetery with a graveside service to be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
