Roberta June Taylor, 88, of Washington Court House, died Monday, January 7, 2019, at 5:15 a.m. at Court House Manor where she had been residing the past month.

Mrs. Taylor was born June 1, 1930, in Washington C.H. the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary Mann Powless.

Before her retirement in 1985, she worked for Craig’s Department Store. Her love was her family, grandchildren, and sisters.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Paula June Taylor; sister Joan Crabtree; brother Marvin McRobie; and three brothers-in-law, James Emrick, William Frasure, and Donald Crabtree.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by four sons, Roger Taylor, Michael Taylor, Mark (Angie) Taylor, and Wayne (Jane) Taylor; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; five sisters, Joyce Emrick of Florida, Wanda Frasure of Florida, Johnna McRobie of Washington C.H., Gail (Joe) Dietrich of Greenfield, and Patsy Powless of Portsmouth; brother Robert Powless of Florida; sister-in-law Alice Fraley of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Patty Hagler and Diann Thornton of Fayette County.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Kirkpatrick Funeral Home. Jay Lucas of Grace Community Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are directed to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Foundation, 1430 Columbus Avenue, Washington C.H., Ohio 43160.

    Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Taylor families. June was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. Love to all from Aunt Connie and Matt, Starla, and Brent.
