John Lynn Jett, 68, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, April 14, 2019, at 4:48 a.m. at Four Seasons of Washington Court House Nursing and Rehabilitation where he had been residing since July 9, 2016.
John was born July 13, 1950, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Raymond and Martha Jean Powell Jett. He was a graduate of Washington Senior High School and, except for several years in Hillsboro, lived most of his life in Washington Court House.
Before his retirement, he was a dough mixer at Pennington Bread, Inc. in Washington Court House.
John was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanne Lynn Newlan; six children, Christina A. Jett Hall-Whitt and John Whitt, of Mount Sterling, Stacey Lynn Woods and her husband, Roddy, of Chillicothe, John L. Jett, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, of Aiken, SC, Chastity L. Wilson of Circleville, Jennifer Lyons of Washington Court House and Lyndsey Vaughn and her husband, Chad, of Hillsboro; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his mother, Martha Jean Jett of Hillsboro; a brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Adriene Jett of Bellbrook, OH and Rae Jeana Jett-Strouse of Hillsboro.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
