John David Berker, 72, of New Holland, Ohio died Friday, October 2, 2020, at 11:48 a.m. at his home.
John was born August 11, 1948, in La Porte, IN to John R. and Phyllis Berker. He moved to the New Holland community in 1994, from Illinois.
He was the owner and operator of New Holland Engineering.
John is survived by his wife, Beverly Waxler Dove, whom he married December 6, 2017; two step children, Tiffany Whitten and Chad Jewell and two step grandchildren, Makayla Whitten and Rubee Karnes, all of New Holland; his father, John R. Berker; a brother, Paul Berker and a sister, Karen Berker, all of Illinois and many special friends, including Rana Redding, Rachel Allen, Jim Thompson and Craig Glass.
Cremation took place.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the New Holland Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Hodge, pastor at the Walnut Hill Church of Christ In Christian Union, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.
