Jasper Merrill Kingery, 93, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, February 26, 2021, at 8:46 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Kingery was born November 29, 1927, in Lawrence County, Ohio to Jasper Newton and Nella Emily Lambert Kingery. He moved to Washington Court House from Lawrence County in his youth and was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School.
Before his retirement, he was a tool maker for North American Rockwell.
He enjoyed restoring antique cars, especially Chevrolets, and going to car shows. He was a family man who participated in his children’s youth activities including being a Boy Scout leader and active with the athletic boosters.
On June 7, 1952, he married the former June Louise Tuvell. She preceded him in death on October 12, 2017. He was also preceded by three brothers, Harold, Franklin and Noman Kingery and two sisters, Iva Peel and Dorothy Mays.
Mr. Kingery is survived by two children, Debra Kingery and her husband, Dan Pachinger, of Williamsburg, OH and Stephen Kingery and his wife, Lisa, of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Madison Mills Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Garren, pastor at the Fayette Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court.
There will be no calling hours.
