James Randall Landman, 80, of New Holland, Ohio died early Friday morning, June 25, 2021, at his home. His death was sudden and unexpected.
Jim was born November 6, 1940, in New Holland, Ohio to James Everett and Virginia Elizabeth Briggs Landman. He was a 1958 graduate of New Holland High School and lived most of his life in the New Holland community.
He worked at Mead in Chillicothe from 1958 until 1976. He was owner and operator of the Landman Insurance Agency from 1974 until his retirement in 2018.
He was an avid gun collector and a staunch member of the National Rifle Association. He traveled across the country to attend NASCAR races. He had been a member of the New Holland Lions Club.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, the former Carolyn McNeal; seven children, Christina Landman Waugh and her husband, Tim, of Ostrander, OH, Tim Landman of Clarksburg, OH, Rusty Landman of New Holland, Lori Rubel and her husband, Mike, of Yorba Linda, CA; Mark McFadden and his wife, Jackie, of Covington, KY, Jesse McFadden and his wife, Cheryl, and Dale McFadden and his wife, Danita, all of New Holland; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Kaye and Jim Blanton of Circleville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with Jeffrey Jewell, pastor at the New Holland United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the New Holland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of the service.
