James E. Stewart, 70, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 1:50 a.m. at Signature HealthCARE of Fayette County.
Jim was born July 1, 1948, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Kenneth Wesley and Gladys Myrtle Holley Stewart. He was a lifelong resident of this community.
Before his retirement, he was a self-employed carpenter and had formerly worked for Snyder and Snyder Construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenneth Stewart, Jr. and a sister, Shirley Runyon.
Jim is survived by two daughters, Patrician Ann Anders and her husband, Lewis, and Brenda Michelle Stewart, all of Washington Court House; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; the mother of his children, the former Margaret Mick; three brothers, Donald Stewart and his wife, Maxine, of Bainbridge, OH, Jerry Stewart of Washington Court House and Robert Stewart of Texas and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Larry Merritt who travel the country and Barbara Sue and Jerry Brandel of TN.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 14, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Washington Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Fox, pastor at the Grace United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
