James Allen Brady, 49, of New Holland, Ohio died Monday, September 27, 2021, at 11:49 a.m. at the Adena Fayette Medical Center where he had been a patient one day.
Jim was born May 8, 1972, in Columbus, Ohio to James Albert and Mary Elizabeth Stenger Brady. He was a 1990 graduate of Westland High School and lived most of his life in Columbus and Washington Court House.
He was a chemist with Ashland Chemical for 22 years.
Jim had been a 4-H advisor and enjoyed helping his daughter with her small animal projects. He was a member of the SCORBA Rabbit Club and the Ohio Holland Lops Rabbit Association. He had a keen sense of humor; was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed his weekly “sushi outings” with his daughter.
On May 6, 1995, he married the former Kimberly Ann Pentzer. She preceded him in death on September 21, 2021. He was also preceded by his parents.
He is survived by a daughter, Allison Grace Brady; three sisters, Elizabeth Ann (John) Calhoun of Galloway, OH, Catherine L. (Jeffrey) McEvoy, of Columbus and Mary Elizabeth (Brian Runnels) DeWine of Washington Court House; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Evelyn Pentzer of Washington Court House; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer (“Skip”) Jones of Clarksburg and Dawn Pentzer of Bloomingburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
