Helen M. Jones, 95, of Washington Court House, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at her home.
Helen was born May 3, 1926, in Fayette County, Ohio to Albert and Nona Wolfe Moore. She was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School and was a lifelong resident of this community.
She spent over 25 years as deputy treasurer at the Fayette County Treasurer’s Office. She also enjoyed 16 years working for the Fayette County Board of Elections.
Helen was a longtime active member of the Grace United Methodist Church.
On October 18, 1951, she married Leonard G. Jones. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2003. She was also preceded by a brother, Glenn Moore and two sisters, Marjorie Wilt and Ercel Lewis.
Helen is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell and Pam Jones of Columbus, Daniel and Kathleen Jones of Circleville and Bruce and Cindy Jones of Washington Court House; six grandchildren, David and Steven Jones, Kimberly Skyles, Chris, Nick and Travis Wurzbach and numerous great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church in Washington Court House with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House from 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021.
