Harold Ray Pearson, 84, of New Castle, IN, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at 1:40 p.m. at the Henry County Hospital in New Castle where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Harold was born January 26, 1924, in Fayette County, Ohio to Warren and Myrtle Brill Pearson. He was a graduate of Washington High School and lived in this community until moving to Indiana in 1983.
He had formerly worked at National Cash Register, had been a tool salesman and had worked at Carter Lumber in Indiana.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aria Rowley in 2013, and a brother, Warren Pearson.
Harold is survived by his wife, the former Betty June Roberts, whom he married September 2, 1953; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Alfred “Gene” Clifton of Morriston, FL; a grandson, Lee Rowley and his wife, Carla, of Westerville; three step grandchildren and their spouses, Amanda and Allen Vanderpool, Tonya and Gary McCollister and Jeanie and Kevin Clifton; several step great grandchildren and special family friend, Peggy Parker.
The funeral will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Todd Maurer officiating. Burial will follow in the Highlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
