Harold Leroy Scott, 94, of Kettering, Ohio died Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 8:57 p.m. at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton where he had been a patient since June 29.

Harold was born November 25, 1926, in Fayette County, Ohio to Earl Leroy and Edith May Wollam Scott.  He moved to Dayton 42 years ago from Washington Court House.

Before his retirement he was a painter for A.E. Fickert Construction Company in Dayton.

He was a 60-year member of Fayette Lodge F. & A.M. #107 and a 32nd Degree Mason, Valley of Columbus.  He served in the U. S. Marines Corps during the Korean Conflict.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, the former Patricia Ann Gibson on October 14, 2014; by a granddaughter, Melissa Scott in 1998; a brother, John Scott and two sisters, Charlotte Baker and Maxine Frazier.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory D. and Deborah Scott of Leesburg; a granddaughter, Kristina Bethel and her husband, Jeremy, of Washington Court House and two great grandchildren, Brooklyn and James Bethel.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.  There will be no visitation or service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
