Ellen P. Kelley, 97, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Thursday, January 31, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.
Mrs. Kelley was born December 9, 1920, in Pickaway County, Ohio to Walter and Elizabeth (Bessie) Buskirk Southward. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School and moved to Washington Court House in 1965 from Clarksburg.
She worked at the General Electric Lamp Plant in Circleville for 31 years before her retirement in 1986.
Mrs. Kelley was a member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wesley Kelley on May 1, 1996; a son-in-law, Joe Smith and by five brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Kelley is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. and Anita Kelley of Washington Court House; a daughter, Linda Smith of Lugoff, SC; five grandchildren, Kyle Kelley, Kara Kelley Bruney and her husband, Thom, and Brian Elliott and his wife, Cynthia, all of Washington Court House, Brett Elliott and his wife, Sallie, of Omaha NE, and Jo Lynn Smith of Lugoff, SC; five great grandchildren, Conner and Clayton Elliott, Amanda and James Kelley and special great granddaughter, Kalie Gray and her husband, Branden; a sister, Grace Cottrill and a special friend, Kendra Sparkman of Washington Court House.
The funeral will be Monday, February 5, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with the Rev. Joe Current, pastor at the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
