EDWIN PAUL WILLIAMS

Edwin Paul Williams, 86, of Washington Court House, Ohio died early Thursday morning, October 11, 2018, at his home.  His death was sudden and unexpected.

Mr. Williams was born October 19, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio to Edwin James and Mildred Garnhart Williams.  He was a 1949 graduate of Westerville High School and attended Purdue University.  He moved to Washington Court House 40 years ago from Elyria.

Before his retirement, he was a salesman of golf course and turf supplies for LESCO.

Mr. Williams was an inductee into the Washington High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  He served in England with the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Rose (Jeri) Shoaf, whom he married November 11, 1951; a daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Scott Hartman of Canal Winchester, three granddaughters and their spouses, Cristin and Mark DeVries, Caree and Adam Dey and Tricia and Dewey Landis; three great grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Fred Martinelli of Ashland, Ohio.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation took place.  A family memorial service will take place at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
