Dolores Helen Barger, 95, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 11:45 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Manor of Washington Court House where she had been a patient since July 3.
She was born August 22, 1922, in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada to Edward and Louise Rush McKittrick. She moved to the United States and this community when she married Richard Lewis Barger on February 5, 1945.
Dolores had formerly been a clerk at the local Municipal Court and later retired as a case worker from the Fayette County Welfare Department.
She was a member of St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church and had formerly belonged to the Washington Country Club. She had been an avid bowler and golfer.
Dolores was preceded her in death by her husband, Richard Lewis Barger on September 24, 2012; by a son, Patrick Barger in 1995; and a brother, Bruce McKittrick.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Barger of Dayton and Gregory Barger and his wife, Renee, of Baltimore, OH and three grandchildren, Kyle Barger and his wife, Lauron, and their daughter, Charlotte “Charlie” Barger and Kristin Evans and her husband, Jarrod, and their children, Paige and Piper Evans, all Pickerington, and Kaitlyn Barger of Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Colman Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the funeral mass on Tuesday.
