David N. Jacks, 77, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 9:50 p.m. shortly after arrival at Adena Fayette Medical Center
David was born May 22, 1944, in Jamestown, Ohio to Harry and Pauline Holmes Jacks. He was a 1962 graduate of Jeffersonville High School and lived most of his life in this community.
Following his retirement as a farmer, he worked for R & L Carriers until 2010.
He was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church. He had a keen mind and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. David had a lifelong interest in airplanes and loved flying. He was an enthusiastic Ohio State University football fan and fondly took care of his pet cats.
David was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Pierson.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sherry Thacker-Semer whom he married March 6, 1987; a brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Winnie Jacks of DeGraff, OH; a brother-in-law, James Pierson of Xenia; a sister-in-law, Barbara Fultz of Washington Court House; an aunt, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the New Holland Cemetery with his brother, Stephen Jacks, officiating.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
