DARRELL F. WISECUP

Darrell F. Wisecup, 77, of Williamsport, Ohio died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at 12:50 p.m. shortly after arrival at Berger Hospital in Circleville.

Darrell was born June 4, 1941, in Ross County, Ohio to Orin Franklin and Norma Ellen Lauderman Wisecup.  He was a 1959 graduate of Atlanta High School and lived most of his life in Pickaway County.

Before his retirement in 1999, he had worked in the maintenance and electrical departments at Dupont Circleville Chemical & Allied Product for 35 years.  He was also a retired farmer.

He was a member of Heber Lodge F & AM #501; the Westfall Athletic Boosters Club and the Deer Creek Men’s Club.  He had formerly served on the Village of Williamsport Utilities Board.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Cottrill.

He is survived by his wife, the former Glenna Cottrill, whom he married January 26, 1963; two sons and daughters-in-law, Drew and Jill Wisecup of Columbus, Tyler (Jaime) Wisecup of Williamsport; three grandchildren, Darrell Tanner, Avery Jo and Ella James Wisecup; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sandy Wisecup of Circleville; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Steven Wollam of Powell, OH; his mother-in-law, Janey Cottrill of New Holland, two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Tina and Mike White of Chillicothe and Vicki and Brian Williams of Ashville; a brother-in-law, Scott Cottrill of Mount Sterling and numerous nieces and nephews.

To help save the lives of others, Darrell was an organ and tissue donor.  Cremation was observed.

A celebration of Darrell’s life will take place Friday, August 31, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at the Crown Hill Golf Course clubhouse, 9500 U. S. Route 22, Williamsport, OH 43164.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland.
