DANNY LAMAR KRAPE

Danny Lamar Krape, 77, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Friday, December 14, 2018, at 6:29 p.m. at his home.  He had been in failing health.

Danny was born December 5, 1941, in Wellston, Ohio to Robert Foster and (Mattie) Irene Patterson Krape, both of whom preceded him in death.  He lived most of his life in New Holland and Washington Court House.

Before his retirement, he was an inspector of radiators at Chrysler in Dayton.

He was a long time member of the Dragin Angels Car Club and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Dayton.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Forrestal.  He was a member of Paul H. Hughey Post #25 of the American Legion.

On May 30, 1962, he married the former Sharon Maria Grubb.  She preceded him in death on March 15, 2012.  He was also preceded by a brother, (Robert) Paul Krape in 2000.

Danny is survived by a daughter, Robin Massie of Wilmington; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Fawne (Micky) Krape of Washington Court House; three grandchildren, Logan, Addison and Beckett Krape; a brother-in-law, David Grubb of Columbus; special friends, Don Bobbitt and Mark Oswald and his extra special ray of sunshine.

The funeral will be Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House with Todd Maurer officiating.  Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon Tuesday until the time of the service.
