(William) Danny Kitchen, 76, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 9:57 a.m. at the Mount Carmel Grove City Medical Center where he had been a patient since Saturday.
Danny was born January 18, 1945, at Staunton in Fayette County, Ohio to Bob and Jean Kimmey Kitchen. He was a 1963 graduate of Miami Trace High School and was a life-long resident of this community.
He formerly was a supervisor at Visador and Dyna Corporation before his retirement for Ferno in Wilmington.
Danny had been a member of the Dragin Angels Car Club. He loved music and playing the guitar and formed and played in the band, Blast Offs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Jerry Ely.
Danny is survived by his wife, the former Ann Louise Womeldorf, two children, Lee Hawkins and Deshna Stinson and a granddaughter, Lillee Joseph, whom he loved dearly; three siblings and their spouses, Judy and Joe Gentry, Nancy Ely and Terry and Pam Kitchen, all of Washington Court House and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the Staunton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mark Armstrong, pastor at the church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Staunton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
A time of food and fellowship, in the church’s fellowship hall, will immediately follow the graveside service.
