Dana Howard Taylor, 82, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at 8:45 p.m. at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus where he had been a patient since August 14.
Dana was born November 12, 1937, in Gilboa, WV to Benjamin Franklin and Freda Elizabeth Moore Taylor. He was a graduate of Nicholas High School in Summersville, WV.
He was a retired prison guard and had served as a judge for standard bred horse racing. He was a United State Navy veteran and served during the Korean War.
Dana attended the Church of Christ and was a member of Fayette Lodge F. & A.M. #107.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Glenna Gay Querrey and Lela Grace Wilmoth.
Dana is survived by a sister, Zelma J. Craig of Newark, OH; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey and Mary Ellen Taylor of Ravenswood, WV and Russell and Sandra Taylor of Murrells Inlet, SC; several nieces and nephews and his friend, Mary Burkhead of Washington Court House.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial of the cremains will be in the Walker Cemetery in Summersville, WV.
Arrangements were completed by the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House.
