Craig J. Harris, 68, of New Holland, Ohio died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at 12:49 a.m. at Signature HealthCARE of Fayette County where he had been residing since January 5, 2019.
Craig was born June 27, 1950, in Sandusky, Ohio to Roland Thomas and Marjorie Market Harris and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.
Before his retirement, he worked in the Division of Weights and Measures for the State of Ohio. Following his retirement, he worked for Fayette County Weights and Measures for two years.
He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Craig is survived by his fiancée, Dawn Ventry of New Holland; a brother, Roland T. Harris, II and his wife, Jacqueline of Sandusky and a nephew, Roland T. Harris, III and his wife.
The funeral will be Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 6 p.m. at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in New Holland with Pastor Keith Clary, chaplain at Signature HealthCARE, officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home in New Holland Thursday from 4:30 p.m. until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
