Constance Lee “Connie” Schirtzinger, 82, of Greenfield, Ohio died Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 5:30 a.m. at her home.
Connie was born September 3, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio to Richard and Sarah Haas Page.
She had formerly owned and operated C & S Bridal in Washington Court House and, for several years, was a cashier at Ev’s Fine Foods.
Connie had been a member of St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church for 48 years and sang in the church choir. She also frequently attended St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield. She was an avid bowler, loved horses and enjoyed her monthly euchre games with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marda Harrison and Shirley Gramling.
Connie was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her husband, John William Schirtzinger whom she married July 18, 1959; four children, Douglas J. Schirtzinger and his wife, Kimberly, of Greenfield, Debra Hilderbrand of Washington Court House, Lynelle Cardenas and her husband, Ray, of Chillicothe and Lauri Juarez and her husband, C. Alex, of Galloway; 12 grandchildren, Lauren Schirtzinger of Jamestown, Shelby Snodgrass of Westerville, Ely Schirtzinger of Greenfield, Jonathon and Jordan Hilderbrand, both of Washington Court House, Page Staggs of Washington Court House, Cheyenne “C.T.” Schiering of Dayton, Grayson Bryan of Arkansas, Sidney Smallwood, Cali, Carlos ands Cora Juarez, all of Galloway, Ohio; a great grandchild, Kael Snodgrass of Westerville; two sisters, Barbara Brobst of Reynoldsburg and Patricia Venable of Columbus and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the St. Colman of Cloyne Catholic Church in Washington Court House by the Rev. Father Cyrus M. Haddad, pastor at the church. Burial will follow in the Bloomingburg Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kirkpatrick Funeral Home in Washington Court House Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
