ANNA JULENE KIGER

Anna Julene Kiger peacefully passed away on June 1, 2021, at home at the age of 88, surrounded by her family. Ann was a lifetime resident of Wayne Township in Fayette County, Ohio where she lived for over 50 years. She was born on September 16, 1932 in Lawrence County, Kentucky. She met her loving husband, James A. Kiger, on September 5, 1950, at Morehead College where they started their journey of over 70 years. One of love, devotion, and happiness.

From their union, two sons were born. James A. Kiger, Jr. (Denise) and David V. Kiger (Lisa). She was blessed with four grandchildren. Garret D. Kiger (Kristen), Aubrey L. Kiger-Dickison (Dustin), Janna E. Kiger, and Nathaniel E. Kiger. All of whom survive her along with her husband, James A. Kiger. She is also survived by one sister, Delores Arrington-Sutliff and many nieces and nephews.

Ann was an astute businesswoman who played a key role in the founding and running Kiger & Kiger Lawyers here in Washington Court House for over 59 years. She was an avid home maker and a devote Christian in the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed maintaining her farms and loved the outdoors, especially when she found herself on the lake while out-fishing with her husband, James. Those that had the pleasure of knowing Ann personally remember her as a kind and beautiful soul.

A private service with a few close family friends will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Washington Court House with the Rev. Edward Gault officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery near her family farms all of which is under the direction of Kirkpatrick Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Heartland Hospice in Ann’s memory.

Ann will be greatly missed by her family and many friends, but she will never be forgotten by those that loved her.
