(Alice) Joyce Jinks, 89, of Washington Court House, Ohio died Sunday, July 25, 2021, at 6:25 a.m. at her home.
Joyce was born May 12, 1932, in Washington Court House, Ohio to Charles Franklin and Dorothy Sheley Crone. She was a 1950 graduate of Washington High School and a lifelong resident of this community.
She was formerly an office worker for Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Columbus.
Joyce was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She had also been a volunteer with the Fayette County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
On June 10, 1955, she married Ray Henry Jinks. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2019.
She is survived by three children, Wayne Alan Jinks, Debra Joyce and David McCoppin and Michael Ray and Heidi Jinks, all of Washington Court House; seven grandchildren, David Jinks, Kevin (Sherry) Jinks, Amy (Chris) Martinez, Stacey (Adam Willis) Jinks, Stephanie Jinks, John McCoppin and Steven (Katie) McCoppin; three great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kiley Martinez and Alan Jinks ; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Nancy Crone of Berea, Ohio and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, H. Richard and Luberta Wolfe of Washington Court House.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 5 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with Mell Wickensimer, director of visitation at the church, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Washington Cemetery.
